An URGENT Role exists for my client who is a Top International Company with an established Brand in South Africa, across Europe and the USA and they are in need of an experienced Warehouse and Inventory Representative for a Temporary Contract until the end of April 2019. 

Note: You must be available immediately and until the end of April 2019. This is a Temporary Contract. 

Fulfill all warehouse duties and stock related duties. This includes:

  • Receiving, inspection and storage all goods
  • Picking, packing and handing over orders to Distributors (pick up orders)
  • Performing stock counts (periodically or via cycle count program)
  • Unloading of trucks
  • Administration – ensure proper document trail and WMS is maintained
  • Country Scan Reports

Expectations and Responsibilities: 

·         To have gained general understanding/awareness of Order Processing, receiving policies and procedures for the Sales Center and Warehouse within 2 weeks of training.

  • To attend to Members quickly and in a courteous and professional manner in the Sales Center and Pick-up desk from Monday to Saturday and in doing so ensure the other staff also delivers this standard
  • Unloading of truck; accurate checking and recording of the received products. Receive products into Oracle. Highlight every deviation in quality and/or quantity and report deviations back to Inventory Management.
  • Physically move products into warehouse- and pick-locations and log all moves correctly into oracle.
  • Utilize FEFO to ensure all pick locations are set-up and filled correctly and all stock is systematically moved and allocated to the correct stocking location.
  • Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately maintaining the highest level of quality and customer service.
  • Liaise directly with Members in the processing of Walk-In orders ensuring a timely and accurate service with a high level of Customer Service delivered.
  • To lead and conduct Ad-hoc stock checks and twice weekly cycle counts according to work instructions and procedures.
  • To keep warehouse spotless clean, organized and safe. Respect safety measurements and highlight unsafe situations in accordance with Health and Safety Policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and use equipment and facility appropriately and highlight any deviation. Also ensure all stock required for business use/kitchen use to monitored and requested and approved on MR from Sales Centre Supervisor.
  • Quickly and correctly hand-over ordered products to Members. To make sure orders are administratively handled correctly.
  • Responsible to lead and assist other (temp) warehouse staff.
  • Make sure all administrative tasks are done; e.g. documenting documents, data for reporting, Oracle, filing and offsite storage, etc.
  • Keep your line supervisor informed and involved at all times. This means highlighting any change or decrease in performance immediately (group or individual), highlighting any potential delay in meeting deadlines or targets agreed and informing him/her of any exceptions or incidents that may have a negative impact on Members or staff (local or regional).
  • To uphold the standards of the Company at all times in terms of dress, manner, speech, respect and interaction with external customers. To conduct yourself at all times as an Ambassador for the company, its products and services. To add value by supporting Members wherever we can in their aims and business efforts.
  • Assist and support Walk-in and Sales Center when required.
  • Willing to attend/work at Company meetings if required.
  • Strive for continuous improvements. Have an eye for possible improvements and be pro-active in proposing solutions.
  • To perform other related duties as needed and/or assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Ensure that the Branch Security protocol is adhered to at all times and correct/report any issues immediately to the Sales Centre Supervisor
  • Accountable for inventory accuracy. Ensure proper security measures are in place and adhered to reduce potential stock losses. Ensure Policies and Procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Investigating and reporting on all variances discovered through bi-weekly and ad-hoc cycle counts.
  • DSP to be done daily and Re-Supply order submitted on time, vetted and followed through systematically to ensure sufficient stock is held at all times. Read market trends, observe product usage fluctuations and plan for promotions when compiling the Centers’ Re-supply order which is to be submitted on time, vetted and approved to the correct bodies. Follow up on Re-supply and ensure systematic transactions are done
  • Attend to all inquiries efficiently and accurately in accordance with the organizations’ SLA/Policies and procedures ensuring that the correct escalation process is applied when applicable
  • Report, Escalate and open incidents directly keeping the Sales Centre Supervisor and Warehouse Manager and team informed.
  • Responsible to monitor and initiate ordering of Printer Toner (NTS), paper, stationery and water for the center.
  • Ensure that the Warehouse folder on the shared drive is updated daily and accurately
  • Be available to efficiently assist all other centers should the requirement come directly or as an instruction from Management team
  • Attend and represent center in the Country Scan/inventory meetings in a manner that is professional, thorough, comprehensive and respectful whilst delivering on all expectations.

Education

Matric Essential

Experience

·         Previous experience in a fast moving consumer goods warehouse

·         Ability to work under pressure and with changing priorities

·         Dexterous and with ability to work quickly and accurately

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Able Trouble-shooter

·         Self-motivated, able to work alone / within a small group

·         Very good administrational and telephone skills

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Excel
  • Oracle - Preferred

Essential Soft Skills:

  • Able to demonstrate good verbal and written skills
  • Very good inter-personnel skills and a high commitment to Customer Service
  • Team player with leadership abilities
