Job Description

Finance Accountant

Are you looking to further develop your skills and experience within accountancy? An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Finance team at Samsung Cambridge Solution Centre. You will be responsible for analysing and reporting on key financial data and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and relevant information for the business.

You’ll be working alongside a small, tight-knit team which will provide you with many areas to develop your skills and knowledge and the role covers a wide range of activities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Budgeting yearly and P&L re-forecasting monthly (Headcount, Opex and Capex)
  • Cash flow forecasting on a weekly basis
  • Preparation and review of monthly accruals journals
  • Managing the full Fixed Asset process (posting, merging, splitting etc)
  • Preparation of VAT return and PSA estimate
  • Reviewing UK payroll and loading into ERP system
  • Preparation of Dispatcher’s payroll file
  • Reconciliation of employee benefits
  • Assisting with the interim and year-end audits
  • Identifying areas for improvement in our accounting and internal control systems
  • Contributing to accounting projects
  • Supporting the finance team during busy periods and covering team members for holidays and absences

Skills and experience you need:

  • Experience of working within a similar role
  • An all-round great teammate who’s happy to work flexibly and support the team
  • Outstanding skills with Microsoft Excel  
  • Brilliant time-keeping skills and ability to achieve deadlines
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience of SAP or similar ERP system

It would help if you had:

  • Relevant degree or qualification e.g. AAT
